Makeup Techniques For Fashion - Prêt-à-Porter
|
|
Every seasoned makeup artist knows that the looks they create will only be as beautiful as the canvases they were painted on.
While runway makeup spans from soft and natural looks to bold, fantastic creations, the one constantly dependable aspect of any successful look is perfect skin. The danger of allowing skin imperfections and discolorations to go uncorrected on the runway is that not only will they make your model look bad, but these things detract from the overall feel of a collection — something that a designer has likely spent months crafting.
During this seminar, Roque Cozzette, founder of Cozzette Inc., will guide you through 7 hours of hands-on training, drawing on his years of experience working alongside the top names in fashion. You will learn to identify dermatological issues like blemishes and dehydrated or otherwise irritated skin, correct these issues with cosmetics or skincare, and build the types of beautifully subtle looks that most designers request upon your perfected models.
After starting with an overview of the fashion world, Cozzette will then discuss inspiration and how to create a look for any collection. Style and design, product selection, HD techniques, blending, and contour and highlight techniques will all be discussed and practiced in class. You will also learn about Cozzette’s Divinity Collection brushes and proper brush techniques.
This class will wrap with a question and answer session.

IMATS New York will be held at Pier 94, which boasts 133,000 square feet (up from 50,000 square feet at the 2011 show). More companies, including first-time IMATS New York exhibitors, will be setting up shop in the expanded space. The show will run April 14-15; a pre-show event, held April 13, will be open exclusively to Make-Up Artist magazine Pro Card holders.
Elite make-up artist Kabuki is headlining IMATS New York. His work spans editorial (Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle), celebrities (Madonna, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson), TV and film (Sex and the City, Party Monster) and runway make-up (Zac Posen, Diesel, Jason Wu, Miss Sixty).
