I had the extreme pleasure of doing makeup and hair for the Vellocet look book this season for my friend Oliver Helden, who was previously one of the partners at Loden Dager. Oliver has created an elegant collection that simply took my breath away. He designed the most amazing delicate fabric I’ve ever seen… It actually has feathers woven into the fabric that lends a magical feminine touch the already beautiful wearable designs.

The divinity collection brushes are made of the softest luxury fibers obtainable through modern technology. The intention behind our brush design was to impersonate the likes of squirrel, Italian badger, and sable favorites. Mind you they out perform their four legged counter parts like nobody’s business. Our custom shapes and styles are just another advancement in craftsmanship. Each and every strand is perfectly engineered to create the finest tapered tip, essential for applying cosmetics with ease and precision. Not to mention the papering they provide to even the most sensitive devotes of beauty.

Processing breakdown: If you are currently using natural animal-hair brushes then you probably have experienced "breakage". No matter what the quality of hair, breakdown in the structure do to the process used to color treat and create them is inevitable. Under the microscope If you look at a natural hair under a microscope you can see its cortex structure. Here you will see weak spots in the cortex due to color tinting. Its simple, chemical processing leads to destruction of the hair. This and the additional regular use (I hope you are cleaning) of brush cleaner. This will not happen with faux fur baby! Synthetic is the wave of the future.
